Jim Persram

Pastor Jim Persram and Sister Baby were elected to their first pastorate in Better Hope Assembly of God in August of 1965. While pastoring this church, Pastor Jim also taught in the A.O.G Bible School in Georgetown, Guyana. In 1983, the Persrams with their three children, Jennifer, Carolyn and Leon migrated to the USA and lived in Brooklyn for a few years. They relocated to Queens in 1987 and immediately pioneered the Bethel Assembly of God Church. Today, Bethel Assembly is a vibrant and growing multicultural church where hundreds of children, youths and adults gather each week to worship the Lord.

Stanley Praimnath

Stanley Praimnath

Stanley Praimnath submitted his life to the Lord on Good Friday thirty years ago.
He has experienced the miraculous, life saving touch of the Lord; having survived the 1993 bombing and 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center. He is married to Jennifer and has two daughters Stephanie and Caitlin. He is a Motivational Speaker, Author and the Men’s Group Leader at Bethel AOG Church. He currently serves as an Associate Pastor where he worships with his family.

Sudesh Singh

Even as he attended Sunday School as a little boy, Sudesh Singh began to sense the calling of God upon his life. On Father’s Day in 1985, at the age of 17, he gave his life to Jesus Christ. In August 1989 he married Vidya, a beautiful young lady from Berbice, Guyana. Two months later he was involved in a car accident, where he suffered severe injuries to his face and eyes. Through the miraculous power of Jesus Christ he regained his sight, and this experience changed his outlook on life completely. Sudesh and Vidya, along with their three children Randy, Jessica and Gabrielle have been faithfully worshiping at Bethel AOG Church and are actively involved in the music ministry. Today, Sudesh serves as an Associate Pastor at Bethel AOG Church.

Robert Dean

Robert Deane was radically saved in 1982 and served as a Musician, Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader and Assistant Pastor at  the Better Hope Assemblies in Guyana until his migration to the USA in 2001. Robert  held ministerial credentials with the Assemblies of God in Guyana and graduated from the Assemblies of God Bible Institute; he was also a student of the Caribbean School of Theology. He is married to his wife Shoba for over 17 years and has one daughter, Tiffany. He now serves at Bethel Assembly of God as an Associate Pastor and, along with his family, is actively involved in Sunday School and evangelism.

Lynette Hetsberger

Lynette Hetsberger gave her life to Christ in 1977 after a near-death experience. She was trained at the University of Guyana and worked at the Central Medical Laboratory at the Georgetown Hospital (Guyana) as a medical technologist. She was also trained in Holland at the International School of the Hospital Christian Fellowship and was the National Staff Worker of Guyana. She attended the Assemblies of God Bible Institute and served as the Assistant Pastor at Better Hope Assembly of God Church in Guyana.Lynette now serves as an Associate pastor at Bethel Assembly of God Church. She manages the Bethel Phone Prayer Network and is the leader of the Bethel Golden Girls Department.
She is the mother of two children, Ronald and Ronette, and six grandchildren..

Building Fund

UPDATE: At the end of May, we have received a total of $60,730 in donation and pledges. Thanks to all who have given or made pledges towards our new building The building at the side of our church is now officially owned by Bethel Assembly. All glory belongs to God. Thanks to all who have been praying and giving in order to make this dream become a reality. However, as you can imagine, there will be repairs and renovation that will have to be done. Our first priority is to clear the backyard so as to have parking space for a few vehicles. In order to complete the building project, we have set a BUILDING FUND GOAL OF $100,000 over the period of October 2016 to September 2017. So far, we have received a total of $47,240 in cash and pledges. (20,490 cash; 26,750 pledges) This is the time that we need your financial support or pledge. Can we count on you for your support in reaching our goal?

Kids Club

will resume on Friday September 9th at 8 p.m. There will be lots of fun and excitement again, as the children learn more of the Bible stories. Parents, we urge you to come on Friday nights and bring the entire family along. Remember, while they are in Kids Club, you will get a chance to be in our praise and worship service.
