Bethel Young Adults
The young adults group is one of the newest groups formed at Bethel. This group was formed to accommodate the transition of youths leaving the high school scene and entering the world of college or the workforce, and for young adults entering the role of Mr. or Ms. Independent.
Everything in life revolves around relationships; however, the most important relationship one needs is a personal relationship with our Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ …. a vertical relationship. And we also need a horizontal relationship to bring a balance in this life. The best horizontal relationships are covenant commitments to live with others and to be connected within a basic Christian community.
Bethel strives to be large enough to celebrate but still small enough to care. Our primary emphasis is to care for people – to serve them, encourage them, and help them grow spiritually. We aim to meet their need for affirmation and acceptance. The young adults group creates an open, supportive, nurturing environment that promotes and facilitates spiritual growth and mutual interactive care. We strive to offer opportunities to grow at one’s own pace and one’s own way through sharing our experiences, learning, loving one another, and contributing ourselves and resources. We offer an open-chair environment, recognizing that everyone needs a place to experience community, excitement, and enthusiasm.
This group meets on the first Saturday of every month. Meetings vary, depending on the scheduled activity; restaurants, bowling allies, movies, weekend getaways, and yes, our church location. Meeting time is 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. If you want to get connected, just give us two hours and it will change your life!
